really? the knights the hardest part of commander niall? thats how i know he plays using summons and shield, the knights were so easy that i seriously considered leaving one alive just so commander didnt changerd up, i could beat the knights not getting hit even once but commander niall? he has some bullshit attacks with really small windows to punish him

Man-eater sucks because he can straight up run off the edge and get glitched under the bridge. I had killed the first one and the second one had maybe 3 hits left on it, and it walked off the edge and I thought I had won. Only yo hear wing flaps but not see him. Got 20 minutes I looked around until I finally spotted him under the bridge trying to fly up. I had to kill myself and start all over. It took me 30 more attempts to finally kill it. The battle is designed to not be fun.

What’s funny is, as true as this video was for the base game, the dlc has just confirmed it. FSW has 100% attuned every boss to the expectation of players using spirit ashes. The idea that a player wants to solo a souls game is now the new “self imposed challenge run” is beyond alarming. It’s downright tragic. The absurdity in that design philosophy is truly remarkable If you want to solo a boss in a current souls game, you’re considered handicapping yourself. It’s the equivalent to the demon bell in Sekiro. Just going in solo, you’re handicapping yourself. This is the end of FSW.

It really all depends on the level you went to the boss, specially if you enter an end boss arena by accident and are too stuborn to leave and come back later with higher levels.

9:20 you need force pull for the Toung thing, also I did the whole game on grandmaster without the stims that replenish force and Im just now realizing that was an option, made a lot harder than it would've been otherwise

Lol Maneater was one of the easiest bosses for me and I didnt even looked up this Boss before hand, just constantly smacked it with Uchigatana lvl8😂

Overated game with limited combat. 7/10. Items useless. Best fight is the Ape fight and the second one with his mate. Every boss feels the same except for the ape.

Regarding #2, something that makes that boss even worse is that if you want to do the Monster Hunter thing and create armor from its parts - not a bad idea when you’re starting off in High Rank - you likely have to farm it to get enough for a complete set, which obviously means you have to repeat the same dull set piece quest over and over until you get the drops you need. You can’t even guaranteed sign up for the quest whenever you want, as it only appears on the quest board randomly after completing other assignments. Such a dropped ball, especially considering they’ve done the giant lava-based Elder Dragon siege battle much better already in a previous game. (Dire Miralis, anyone?) On that topic, have you ever considered dipping into making Monster Hunter videos? Given this channel’s history with boss rankings it seems like a really good fit for you content-wise, but I understand that there’s a LOT of content in each game to unpack.

Definitely wouldn't put demon firesage or moonlight butterfly on a 10 worst list. In just dark souls 1 alone there are 2 or more good replacements for these two. Pretty much any other fire area boss other than quelag, the ceaseless discharge is usually it one shots you or you one shot it, the centipede demon I've had jump through the ceiling and off the map in 6/10 of my fights with it and it's terribly designed even when it doesn't do that. Demon firesage is a reskin but at least it's a reskin of a good boss, moonlight butterfly isn't a great fight but definitely not top 10 worst, it's got a great soundtrack that I immediately recognise when I hear it, looks beautiful and is in a pretty cool area. In dark souls 2 alone there at 10+ better candidates than these two, the tag cat fight from the dlc immediately comes to mind with that aaaaawful boss run.

The frog's fireballs are easy, UNTIL you have to parry all 3 because you only get one sequence and you need to finish the boss in maximum 2 minutes and 0 seconds. Yes, you can still get A+ with 2 minutes and up to 5-10 seconds (not sure of the upper limit) but then you did not really earn the A+ according to the developers, the developers make the time white instead of yellow, pointing out that you are over time.

I dont understand why maliketh is so high up, sure hes easily one of the best bosses in the game, but hes not hard at all, I beat him on my first try and I didnt even have a fully upgraded weapon, only a +7... that boss is really easy and should be wayyyyyyy lower on the list lol.

the bosses just dont feel good to fight, it's like i have to constantly fight a natural urge to dodge when a boss is about to swing, only for them to hold there for a split second just to fuck with you.
